Welcome to the Regina Alpine Web Site Minimize

Home of the Regina Nancy Greene Ski and Snowboard and the Regina Alpine Race Team

For new members, the remainder of this page is for you! You'll find general information about our club, its programs, and how to dig deeper to learn more.

Current club members can use the Member's Area navigation link at the top of this page to find all club reference information.

Who, what, when, where and why?

Our Regina-based ski and snowboard club that has been going since the '70s with a current membership of over twenty families and sixty children and youth students. We are family-oriented and train all levels of experience from ages five to eighteen - as well as adults.

Our basic training is normally four hours on Sundays at Mission Ridge ski hill at Fort Qu'Appelle. These start in either mid-December or January depending on which program you enter. There are also several family trips organized to other prairie ski hills and the mountains.

Why would you join us?

It gets the whole family involved in a fun, active, and diverse recreational sport. The kids will meet new friends and will be thrilled to learn new downhill skills. The adults are all expected to come out to the ski hill for the kid's lessons, and there will be lots of other parents to chum around with in the lodge - or on the hill if you want!

New to Boarding or Skiing? Let Us Teach You!

We have an excellent introductory program for learning how to ski or board. For $99, we provide three Sunday two-hour lessons in either January or February with qualified instructors at the local hill ($129 for four-hour lessons). Take a look at our learn to ski/board brochure for more information by clicking on this link or the picture.

What's my other options and what's the bottom line?

Well, that depends (were you expecting a different answer?). The other member programs' costs depends on factors like whether you are a skier or boarder, which program you enroll in, whether you go for half- or full-day lessons, which optional trips you decide to take advantage of, and whether you take advantage of any of the personal fundraising opportunities provided by the club.

It might seem complicated. To help compare options, here's a link to a table of the available ski programs or snowboard programs, the program features, and costs. Need more info? What a lead-in to our next topic!

Operators are standing by...

If you would like to get more information, you can email us at info@reginaalpine.ca. Rather talk to someone? Call and leave a message at 545-2976 (Regina) and one of our club members will get back to you within a day or two. In either case, we'll contact you to explain the various programs, options, and which would be the best fit for your family.

It's all downhill from here - let's go!

If you're interested in getting an advance peek at more details on the ski and snowboard programs we offer, refer to our Training Programs page on the web site - in particular the quick-reference matrix sheets for ski and snowboard programs.

 Sponsors Minimize

As a volunteer Club, we have a number of sponsors.  Without these organizations, our club would not be able to function. We thank them for their support.

In return our membership offers them our support in the businesses that we use.
