Who, what, when, where and why?
Our Regina-based ski and snowboard club that has been going since the '70s with a current membership of over twenty families and sixty children and youth students. We are family-oriented and train all levels of experience from ages five to eighteen - as well as adults.
Our basic training is normally four hours on Sundays at Mission Ridge ski hill at Fort Qu'Appelle. These
start in mid-December and go until the end of March. There are also several family trips organized to other prairie ski hills and the mountains.
Why would you join us?
It gets the whole family involved in a fun, active, and diverse recreational sport. The kids will meet new friends and will be thrilled to learn new downhill skills. The adults are all expected to come out to the ski hill for the kid's lessons, and there will be lots of other parents to chum around with in the lodge - or on the hill if you want!
Know how to snowplow or just doing heel turns; we've got a program for you!
We work with Mission Ridge and once you have completed their 3 day intro program and have the basic skills, our coaches will develope those and introduce you into Comp or races. Take a look at our Nancy Green Ski & Snowboard brochure for more information.
What's my other options and what's the bottom line?
Well, that depends (were you expecting a different answer?). The other member programs' costs depends on factors like whether you are a skier or boarder, which program you enroll in, whether you go for half- or full-day lessons, which optional trips you decide to take advantage of, and whether you take advantage of any of the personal fundraising opportunities provided by the club.
It might seem complicated. To help compare options, here's a link to a table of the available ski programs or snowboard programs, the program features, and costs. Need more info? What a lead-in to our next topic!
